From package to shipment

Learn when a package is ready to move into a shipment and which customer details must be complete first.

A package is the warehouse record

A package record describes an item received or expected at a BUTIGAL warehouse. Before shipment, the package may require verified dimensions, weight, declaration details, receiver information, and operational review.

A shipment is the transport record

Once one or more eligible packages are assigned to a shipment, the shipment becomes the main record for transportation, charges, tracking, arrival, and delivery.
